Molloy Roofing Co. Has Long History Of Donated Roofing Labor With Cincinnati Habitat
Molloy Roofing Co. is a family-owned business serving Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Located in Blue Ash, the company offers both commercial and residential roofing service to its customers. It was founded by H.J. Molloy in 1900, and is presently led by Dave Molloy, the fourth generation President. About 20 years ago, by a Habitat volunteer from his church to personally assist with shingling a roof of one of our earliest Habitat homes in Cincinnati. Dave and his company have remained active in providing free roofing labor to our ministry over the years.
Molloy employees typically shingle between 1 and 3 Habitat homes per season. Over the past 10 years alone, Molloy Roofing has tackled 24 projects for Cincinnati Habitat, chiefly homes built by our Eastside Coalition of Churches in Avondale. The estimated value of their labor during this period is nearly $24,000! A crew of 5-6 Molloy employees are able to complete the shingling of a 2-house project in about half a day. They often work alongside our volunteers and share lunch.
“Habitat blesses more than new homeowners. From the lunch providers to the professionals that donate their countless skills, we are all blessed by simply placing someone else’s needs before our own. And building a house is so concrete!
“I’m grateful that you think to include our company in Habitat’s plans each year and hope that we may continue to serve with you for many more years.”
Dave Molloy
Cincinnati Habitat wishes to salute Molloy Roofing for their dedication to our organization, through good economic times and bad. We look forward to continued partnership with them.
